Fish Curry

Fish Curry


Ingredients:

    Fish: ½ Kg cleaned fish slices
    Tamarind: 50gms
    Ginger Garlic paste: 2 tablespoons
    Chilly powder: 1 ½ spoons
    Salt : As required
    Garam Masala : 2 spoons
    Turmeric : ¼ spoon
    Oil: 5 tablespoons
    Green Chilies: 4
    Onion: 4
    Curry Leaves: 10-15 leaves
    Coriander leaves: little (kottimeera)

Method of Preparation:

  1. Soak Tamarind in sufficient water for 15 min and keep it aside.
  2. Grind onion as paste and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in tava, and then add Curry leaves, Onion Paste and green chilies.
  4. Fry until it turns to golden color.
  5. Add Ginger Garlic paste to it and fry it.
  6. Add turmeric, chilly powder, and salt (as required) to above mixture.
  7. Add fish slices to above mixture and mix without breaking the slices. (You can also marinate fish slices with little chilly powder, salt, turmeric before adding to mixture).
  8. Add soaked tamarind water to above mixture, mix carefully and cover with lid.
  9. After 10 min, remove the lid and add garam masala and mix it well.
  10. Cook until gravy comes closer and thick.
  11. At last, garnish the fish curry with coriander leaves.
  12. Ready…to EAT.
